There's sound videos on the sticky as Sunlover suggested, but you never know how computer audio differs from real life. Probably a lot, even with good speakers. What sold me is JBA and other's contention that interior drone is minimized with this exhaust.

The minimal drone is why I got it also... When your in gas you can hear drone, but when you get to a certain speed you want, its just as quiet as stock. One of those sticky videos sold me on it as well.

If its going to be quiet it's going to be semi restrictive.... An engine is an air pump. More air in more air out more power made. You don't get quiet by eliminating restrictions.

![]() Well from what the OP was looking for, I'm pretty sure he is going to be happy with his decision, I know I was... I was not looking for something obnoxious and loud, I just had to get rid of those large cans, small tips, and that "stock" sound. I first had a Airaid intake for over a year, stock exhaust. More air in. Noticed a lot of power increase! Installed the JBA's 2 weeks ago. Very nice look, 4" tips, and a sound that a 312hp V6 should have. For those who have seen the stock mufflers cut in half, well you know. For those who think axle-backs do not have gains are mistaken. Less restriction equals more air flow out, and I can feel it with this exhaust!

I like my Corsa, but it was pricey. Under normal driving conditions, it's not really that loud at all, with a nice, low tone in the lower RPMs. At WOT though, it sounds like a race car. So basically, you can control how loud you want it to be. Think of the gas pedal as the volume knob on your stereo

![]() Regardless of my thoughts on the V6 the information is accurate. You cant have restriction and make more power. I doesnt matter if its 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 cylinders...LOL If you want quiet power then get a turbo (and not a rear mount) and leave the factory exhaust. Not trying to be funny or a smart ass either, its just the way it is. Mufflers baffle and restrict to quiet it down... a straight through design is going to be louder...also bigger pipes will be louder.. What ET above me says about volume is correct. |

I installed Magnaflow exhaust on my 2010 RS last September and also added the K and L Typhoon Cold Air intake. The sound is sweet. Low throaty growl. Well worth the $1000 for the best exhaust on the planet. Go to Magnaflow website and check out the sound on the V6 for yourself.

If you're looking to increase performance, you need to get long tube headers and high flow cats. Yes, it will increase the noise level of your exhaust, but it's what you need if you want to increase HP.
Catbacks are more about finding the sound and looks you want. Very little HP is gained with a catback or axle back exhaust. Also, if you want to keep your noise level down, keep the stock catback or go with a very quiet catback like a Magnaflow Street to mate up with your long tube headers. |

Won't be too loud and it is straight through so I doubt it would be too restrictive. I love mine.

Thats the next step I plan on taking... That puzzle piece in the middle is the real restriction, because anything you do after cats isn't going to do but so much since ours are so restricted.
