Maryland, I appreciate you respecting my request to keep things as objective as possible. I suppose quality is not always such an objective thing. For some a $1 cheeseburger is just fine, to others nothing but a filet mignon will do. I think these OBX longtubes are somewhere in-between, closer to the burger than the "name brands", and that's fine with me. So much so that I'm interested in the catback setup they offer as well. So the question is, what's for dinner?

The particular set we installed were...(and again..being honest here not even caring about the brand or how they were designed)...the lowest build quality stainless header I have ever seen. And I documented this pretty clearly in my thread back in the day with pictures. If they are middle of the road..I do not know what stainless header out there has worse quality. If you had never seen another header..maybe they would be fine, but if you know what you are dealing with..then it becomes apparent. We may have had a bad set..who knows. However I am posting this because...as someone who sells, and deals with pretty much every brand out there..and has actually installed them, I think my opinion is relevent.

If they are what you want to buy, or all you can afford, then have at it. I just want to make sure people on the fence have a clear picture.

Quality..is the one place they will not add up to most other headers. If you search, you will find detailed pictures and info. You get what you get for the price.
did anyone else have a problem with the bolt holes not lining up?

Definitely no problem with bolt holes for me.

But if we can, let's get back to my original question: anyone have any experience with the OBX catback?

No issue with bolt holes here either. I have had mine for over 10 months now with zero issues.

No apology necessary. Feel free to pm me if you want any more info.

Looks like the obx catbacks may just be too new at this point.

I also have OBX and have had them for quite some time and have had no problem what so ever. And I also will try and look into the obx cat back, I wasn't aware they made anything.

Bump, I was gonna start a new thread but this is my exact question. Has anyone tried the OBX catback yet? Looks to be a 3" which is what im looking for. I want 3" for deeper sound. I've seen these on ebay for $500.
Here is a link to OBX's site.

I see the "cold sore" is back in yet another OBX thread.

My OBX header flange bolt holes were perfectly round. The quality is bar-none. Welds were top notch. I have never bought as high a quality header as what I received from OBX (and I've bought about every "reasonably" priced American brand over the years).

Cnt exhaust sounds pretty damn good it's a little quiet with stock manifolds but a set of headers it sounds really good in person

Hope we can find someone running these, but no luck so far.

OBX, if you're looking for a car or two to demo these on, here you go!
