where did you buy the billet grille? ive never seen one with the rails that close/numerous. I want one like that so I can chop it up to use as a grille for the scoop.

I'm not sure if it's what you are looking for, but I got my billet grille on www.afterthoughtsauto.com They have a lot of pretty cool car accessories and stuff! Fast shipping and reasonable prices too!

1974 Z-28. Got it when I was 16. Maroon w/ black interior. Big factory stripes. Automatic and AC. Drove it into the ground and let it rot when I was broke. Gonna find another one some day and add it to the collection.

My first Camaro was an '84 Z28 with a 305. That was actually the first car I ever bought. Of course it wasn't enough for me so within a year I traded it in for a '90 454SS truck. Man do I miss that thing.

My first Camaro, I will never forget.... It was a 1977 I bought from my brother.. When I got behind the wheel, I didn't think the front of a car could ever be that long.. All I could see was the hood of that car... I grew to love it... I will never forget how that car made me feel, so strong, so fast, I thought I was king of the road......

That is why I can't wait, I have had no other car that has made me feel that way... But I know the new Camaro will.....

My first Camaro was a 1984 Sport Coupe. It had the Iron Duke 4cyl with 120,000 miles on it. About the only options added to the car were the automatic transmission and air conditioning (that never worked). My dad bought the car in 1990 for $2,000 when I was 13 and we worked on making it look the way I wanted it until I was old enough to drive it.

The car was a disaster when we bought it. The previous owner had repainted the car himself from the original White to a dull-finish Electric Blue and slapped some Caprice wire wheel covers on it. I tore the car apart, put a 1986 Sport Coupe nose on, Z28 wheels and painted it back to the correct White color.

I ended up driving the car through high school until I was about 19 or 20. We did end up having to put another engine in it (another 4cyl from an S-10) after the original caught fire. That car really served me well and had a lot of guts for a four-banger. 3rd gens have always had a place in my heart because of that car.

Here's my first baby:

My first

1968 SS 4-speed coupe, cordovan maroon met, paint code NN. 327ci with barely enough heat to thaw your fingernails. I drove it year around from 1984-1988 that being in Michigan winters. I'll have to scan in some photos.

Unhappy My first 'maro the 88 coupe

alas I have NO pictures of the 'maro. but I had a 1988 coupe with T tops. my car was dark gray and with silver on the lower edge of the body (the ground effects). the car's previous owner replaced the REALLY ugly 'base' camaro's steering wheel (the one with the vertical rectangular horn pad with 2 small spokes near the bottom) with a 4 spoke Grant wheel which had alluminum spokes and black leather or vinyl on the rim. he also replaced the factory 15" alloys with a set of Cragar 5 spoke 'star' mags with 'rivets' that ran arround the diameter of them. I put a set of at the time hard to find BF GOODWRENCH RADIAL T/A white letter tires. I also replaced the AC/Delco (bleh) am/fm tape deck with a Pioneer head unit with removable face that had controls to a 6 disc CD changer i put in the back deck under the cargo flap. The car had a worn out 305 V8 with 147k on it when I sold it for 2300 (i threw in the stereo and cd changer for an extra 300). I really wished I would have just kept the car and swapped out the 305 for a 350.

I miss this car

I got my first Camaro when I was a Junior in highschool. Dark blue 1981 Camaro. It had a 350sbc with a 4sp Muncie transmission. That was a fun car to drive! Since then, I have owned 5 others and still have the 2000 Z28 in my sig.
