Like I said, no one near here so maybe I could help those around here.
I will send you a pm with dealer details. I am not a vendor just do this locally. I think there are a cpl guys in illinois that do the tuning not sure where they live will check it out for you.

More like 13 hp. That is if you don't have any mods. If you have mods (like CAI or headers) then they will improve some of the stuff the tune does, but he can tweak the tune (no extra charge) to get the most out of these mods.

Yep you are right, it wasn't 17 hp that they replied, it was 14 hp. Sorry I got that wrong. Ok, so what gains could one expect out of our V6 with a Vararam CAI, a decent cat back exhaust and a Trifecta tune? I'll start a new thread on this but since we have so may v6 viewer on this one I'll ask here too. Has anyone else with a manual 6 v6 noticed that at around 2000 to 2200 rpms (just cruising in say 3rd gear at 35 mph) that the engine seems to miss and surge? If you speed up a little to say 2400 rpms it smooths right up or if you shift and drop the rpms to 1800 it smooths up. It's like it is getting reversion and causing the AFR to jump all over and the ECM to keep having to readjust. Or is this the VVT causing this? And is it normal for a stock vehicle?

I'm not sure what you're asking, so I'm assuming mine doesn't do that. Lol

Maybe one day they will hire more folks for R&D.
I'm in your area, so what type of gains could I expect from a stock tune? What are your prices? Would I need to re-tune after every mod that I add?

Keep your fingers crossed, and continue to bug hp tuners, because toward the end of the year hp tuners is going to review their priority list of what vehicles they want/need to get done. the more people who contact hp tuners about v6 tuning the better chance we will have tuning for them in 2012.

I feel a little more optimistic with hp tuners coming out with a solution for V6 LLT. Check this thread out. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158473

Bill at HP is about to ban me, so be careful what you say. But yes...contiune to push this with them. Chris seems to think he has a work around for the tuning, so there is some hope.

Damn that Bill guy lol

Guys I'm an fbody guy at heart, owned 5 thus far and have been trying to push this for some time now. Problem is our head engineer, Chris, has been working on several other projects and hasn't had time to look into these as of yet I even had a long phone conversation about it about a year ago with he and our software designer. He's confident he knows what the issue is, implementing a fix for the read issue isn't all that simple from what he can tell, even if he gets that worked out theres still the operating systems that need to be mapped out which the difficulty of that has yet to be seen. If you want to keep asking us for support feel free but really I personally don't expect any huge breaks in this for several months at best. Anyone thats sent me an email for support for these will receive an email back once we are ready to run further testing. Unfortunately I don't write the code, readloaders, etc. so I'm at the mercy of our engineers when it comes to that and all I can do is needle them every so often.

Don't think I'm against you guys, Im totally for a solution for this market, unfortunately bosch did things a little differently so nothing is as simple as it seems when it comes to these pcm's.

FWIW, I received an email from HyperTech stating their Max Energy handheld for the Camaro V6 is in beta testing right now. They expect it to be released in a month.

Is there any specs for this unit? After Diablo scrapped their attempt after showing no gains, I pretty much gave up on handhelds ever coming to market.

I have no details at all other than when I requested to be able to trade in my Hypertech PowerProgrammer from my Silverado for one for the Camaro, they said it's in beta testing and should be released in a month. I agree though, if no gains are found they won't release but I doubt it would be in beta testing if no gains were found. I am surprised Diablo failed if we know one other has succeeded.
