Usually it's not an issue. A GMPP system is extremely unlikely to be so loud and obnoxious as to get you in trouble with cops or neighbors.

I have a cutout on my 98z28 right before the axle, its not even real loud if your not on the gas. been that way for a year and never had any trouble from the cops. I still have the manifolds and cats, doesnt even drone on the highway really. Put headers and no cats and that changes everything

Thats good. But the stock seems pretty loud already. I guess we'll just have to see how they sound when the vids start coming around.

Hello guy's read the discription. Cat-Back by defanition leaves the cats installed. It's just loud. There are noise requirments that they have to meet.

I'll tell you what a cat-back is.

Last summer we had this huge fish fry in our enclosed backyard, and afterwards we had to run off all the alley cats eating the leftovers. Day after that, my neighbor came over and said we were cat-nappers and demanded her "cat back".

all "off-road" is, is just a little legal phrase so they can sell you the item and not get into any trouble about it. if they sold you something and said its road legal and you get a ticket, then you could sue them over false advertisement. putting off-road on it just means you install it at your own legal risk.

just about anything aftermarket claims off-road use only on it, i think a K&N intake even says it

Link to track pack and other gmpp exhaust. Track pack is fully legal.

I see alot of people concerned about the noise issue or being legal or not. As long as you dont have your foot in it right next to a cop then there should be no issue. If that were the other case you prob have bigger problems other than being loud. Out of the view times Ive been pulled over I only had a comment on my exhaust once. He looked back and saw mufflers and said your good to go!! lol didnt spot the cutout!!! My point is if your worried about trouble then just be smart about when and where you put your foot into it. (regardless of the exhaust)
