So I'd probably want long tubes then correct?
I think I have Magnaflow mufflers and silverline exhaust...

If you want a V6 with a burbly sound as you put it, closest you'll get there without actually installing cams (which don't yet exist for our car) is adding long tube headers.

Go to my exhaust sticky that was already mentioned here, and listen to many of the BBK/OBX long tube header videos. It also depends a lot on the exhaust you pair them up with.

Mine does some very nice burbling on the decel. My current setup consists of Stainless Works LT's with Random Tech HFC's, SOLO Mach X LLT catback exhaust, CAI Inc. intake. It screams like a banshee when you get on it too.

i love the way my set up sounds

BBK Longtube headers with hiflow cats
Doug Thorley Catback
Airraid CAI

On cold starts it is very loud and has a nice rumble to it. When driving, if you punch it hard it is extremely loud. i love it

Nobody mentioned the CEL that is certain to appear with the long tubes. The CEL won't effect the car from what I've gathered. But worth mentioning.

Meh I drive with mine on. It's so small i don't even notice it. Some guys really care about it, some don't. Your gatherings are correct. It does not affect the car in any adverse way. I've had mine into the dealer for service, they've seen the light, and they know exactly why it's on. They couldn't give a rip. The GM loves what I've done to my car and asked to drive it two weeks ago when it was in for service. He came back with a perma grin.
