Anyway, I have raced (sorry) several STR8 and I have to say it I whipped the odd ones and lost by a narrow margin to others.

In my oppinion the SRT8 will NOT beat the SS EVER!!

I'm not that impressed by STOCK SRT8's.

What are you talking about my brother ? Your saying your 5.7 with 370hp beat an SRT8 ? Kind of impossible in my opinion for a lower trim to beat a higher trim. Who knows maybe someone will have a V6 that is "Execpetional" , but to be frank. I don't know why you are not impressed with Stock SRT's they are amazing top of the line American cars as well as the SS. I am sorry I am going to agree to disagree with you brother

There's no way an R/T would ever beat an SRT8 without modifications. If I ever lost a race to an R/T I'd cryy

I read that the G8 is faster then the SRT8 Charger , don't know about Challenger but I would assume it's faster then the Challenger SRT8 also by a little so I AM HOPING it's a drivers race but from the research i've done ... the SS should get me by a nost but I am hoping we can all run 12.9's stock.

We will know soon enough, but I'd say that the Camaro will have a slight edge. But a good driver in the Chally will more than make up for any advantage the Camaro has.

I could've swore I read in a GMHTP review that the G8 went into 4th or 5th. I'd have to look again though...

Challenger weighs several hundred pounds more and that is the difference. It's also why the SRT-8 gets stuck with the gas guzzler tax when the same HP Camaro does not.

It also costs a lot more, although Dodge has found it can't sell them for sticker any more and are having to give discounts.

better than no sale

The first rule of modding something that's not American is to not try to compete with modded V8 cars that are American. Really, they can run insane power with little investment. It's not even a fair fight.

Yeah but you guys got ripped off unfortunately, which is why there's the MSRP or less thread in the pricing forums for the Camaro.
