I am hoping for intelligent posts from people that own this vehicle, and have had experience with it, good and bad. I don't expect for you to just follow the pack like a sheep because you bought a specific car. You can't get any better info about a car then the people themselves that have driven them.

My personal experience with my 2010 Camaro has been flawless, the Challenger was never in the picture for me. I simply don't like how retro it is, and to be fair I grew up with Camaros.
On the topic if seeing "a lot" of issues, I always find it hard to take online complaints (on anything) too seriously. I put much more stock in the positive confessionals than the negatives. I'm definitely not saying to ignore it, but it's much more uncommon for someone to jump online and gush than it is to complain. If there's a lot of praise it's probably a pretty solid product. Also, in comparison to the level of complaints you may have seen from the Challenger... there are a lot more Camaros out there ![]() In the end, you're going to get a great car that'll offer great performance. It's really gotta come down to cost and style more than anything (aside from availability).

The Challenger that lives here
has been an EXCELLENT vehicle. ZERO issues with the cosmetics (paint) and no issues with the 6spd manual transmission. (Except skip shift. Argh! Thank God for an eliminator!) There's many things that I like about the Challenger better than the Camaro (my daily driver). However, I honestly like the looks of the Camaro much more than the Challenger. I guess what I'm saying is both are good cars. I'm glad I didn't have to choose between the two because that would be tough.

The clear choice is a camaro. Better interior, more hp, better handling... If it was a 2011 challenger then it might be a different story, but an 09 loses every day of the week in my book.
Unless you need the extra trunk and interior space get the camaro.

I had an R/T and currently have a SRT8. I for one love the challenger because of the room and the retro feel. But I also just bought a camaro because I wanted a convert and the challenger will never have one. With that being said the 392 challenger is slated to have a factory super charger the end of 2012 -13 with 575 HP putting it on par with the other big dogs when that happens. I lean to the challenger because of the room and uniqueness (1 sold for every 4 camaros) but the camaro would be an awesome weekend car because of the low sports car road hugging feel. Luckly I do not have to choose
Of course you will have to decide what you want, as as sales of the challenger are behind both others, the public seems to have spoken.

It all boils down to personal choice but I am skeptical of quality when it comes to Dodge products.

I think the Challenger would be the easier car to live with on a daily basis simply for the better ride quality, bigger trunk, more interior room, etc. The Camaro SS beats the R/T in all performance aspects though. I considered the Challenger when I bought my Camaro but I've always been a GM guy. The LS3 was tempting too. Personally, I haven't had an issue with my Camaro yet......after 8 months.

It depends on what you're looking for in a car. Are you more concerned with performance? If so you need to go with Camaro. If looks is your thing then you're gonna want the Camaro. If all around awesomeness and drivability are your main concerns then your best bet will be the Camaro. Glad I could help.

How about you go out and drive both then pick? Makes it real easy.
I drove the RT and an SS and preferred the Camaro.

my sister has a Challenger and comparing the damage in the pics posted here of car/deer crashes vs. the damages my sister had from her car/deer crash...I'd go with the Camaro, they seem to get damaged less in front end crashes. My sister's crash popped the hood and smashed it into the windshield. the car would have been totaled even before she got rear ended when she stopped.

I owned a 2009 rt challenger and a 2010 camaro 2ss, both was nice cars and look awsome. My wife liked the challenger but i liked the camaro better, she really liked the look and size of the dodge, i liked the way the camaro handled and the performance better, camaro is quicker and i also liked the interior better.
I sold both but i took the urge for another car and ordered another camaro saturday.
