Dealers have to have allocation for an order number to get picked up UNLESS you order it through them sold then there is a slight chance they can get you one without allocation. The dealer can give you an order number at any time if they felt like it whether or not it gets picked up is a whole different story. Find a dealer that has allocation and ask them what week that allocation is available for them to build. If they can't tell you that chances are they are just jerking you around.

Overall you'll feel better if you get out of this deal as soon as you can. We tend to want to rush things when we see something we like (ie: 5th Gen Camaro's), but just remember there are good people out there.

The third dealer I went to for my Camaro was the one I bought it from. That's unusual for me, but I wasn't in a hurry and I loved my whole experience better.

My opinion is go get your deposit back tomorrow! Has this dealer earned your business or your trust? What if your car needs warrantee work? Will you be able to trust this dealership after the experience you describe? I assume you plan on having this car for a long time. Don't do anything you'd regret later just on the chance you might get it a few days sooner....

Becky already told me their allocation doesn't matter but I am unsure, will a truck with none camaro (mine) be delivered?
This isn't hard.....call Becky and she will handle everything for you, including answer all of your questions.

At least he put the order through. My dealer forgot to press "submit" or whatever it's called and the new manager found that out a month after I placed the order. I may have had my car by now

Take your money elsewhere. If it's a large dealership, send an email to the general manager of the family of dealerships. You can usually find this on their webpages. Explain why you are spending your money elsewhere. I HATE being lied to.

I got the run around as well and finally found a dealer9salesman) who took care of me and i left a very happy man. (took 44 years)but they are out there and with this many backing becky it would be hard to say otherwise!
Just think of the time when you can drive back uop to the same guy and show them the car they could have sold you. I did! One dealer told me there is just no way to get the number i wanted and then I eneded up getting it for way less than i ever imagined. Feels great to rub it in thier greedy little faces!

Talk to a different local dealer. Just because you've had a bad experience with one doesn't mean they are all bad. Nothing against ordering from a dealer not local, but I wouldn't hold it against a local dealer to not want to work with you on an iffy warranty claim then.

The only thing is this dealership is where I would have it shipped to and where I'd bring it to get serviced.

Yep! Today I went to the dealership where the car I bought from Becky will be delivered to just to see if it had been dropped off. Asked the salesperson if they had any 2012 Camaro's an he said "Nope, won't have any for a month". I just snickered and walked away.

Maybe I will take him for a ride on Thursday or Friday in a 2012.

This forum can really put us ahead of the game sometimes.
