I don't know if it is always "better" to go aftermarket. You will probably corner better but will likely lose ride quality unless the OEM cheaped out on shocks/struts or there is a design issue.
Going aftermarket is much much more expensive. Staying OE with the improvements that Chevy has done and going to a stickier tire can yield similiar results. |

That is correct. The converts still get the FE3. I wonder why?
