Did you get your allocation issue straightened out (aka no dealer markup), or are we looking at a refund of the deposit????

The good news is I will be the first in garland texas to roll into production for a ZL1...From Jupiter Chevrolet of Garland... So my car will be the FIRST that dealership sees...and trust you me, it won't be at that dealership long as I want to take the rail dust HOME with me if you get what I am saying...
"One of the low" numbers according to the fleet manager who will be ordering mine.
Ill get my papers any day or any hour now as he checks the system all during the day..
This is his sole job is to order cars for said dealership..
Hey.. I am getting my ultra grin back finally.. I made the 'special bus'...
I am going to be THE first at that dealership...
Oh... the markup issue he said he could not help me with...LOL
he said that would be between ME and my salesman.. but he told me don't worry about it YET.
So Im Not.

Make sure that you do not sign anything without knowing the price. The price will also need to be on the document as well. This will prevent the dealer from springing anymore surprises on you (like an increase on the price), especially on delivery day.

Edit: If the msrp isn't known yet, then insist on a stated market adjustment price in writing. Play hardball.........these guys will sock it to ya if you're not careful.

In general, sales people have little or nothing to do with dealer mark up. It's usually the sales manager, general manager, or the owner who sets a dealership's mark up policy, and determines which vehicles will have a markup and what the mark up will be.

I would not wait to resolve the mark up issue, otherwise, you could end up very unhappy and/or without the vehicle you were expecting to purchase.
