I could use the money i save getting the 1SS to upgrade but.....i really love leather and the C&C package.

Should i get the 1SS and get the front seats custom upholstered with leather? How much would that cost? Maybe it wont be worth it?!

After figuring my monthly payment after APR and dwn pymnt the difference is 1SS $425 and 2SS $453.

Im so up in the air!!! Please give me your thoughts, maybe you could think of something im not.

I have purchased several cars in the past that I "compromised" on. Every time it cost me more in the long run to make the compromised car right. If you can afford the difference buy the 2SS with no regrets.

With the 2SS you will get the console gauge package[ worth having as the interior is a little plain] plus additional steering wheel mounted controls , longer o OnStar and voice navigation to play with for a while. If you can fit it into your budget I think you will be glad you did.

$28 difference? That's a no-brainer for me as well.
As been stated before, if your heart wants the 2SS
and you settle for the 1SS, you will probably regret
it down the road. I'd go for it too.

By upgrading, what kinds of upgrades are you looking for? HP gains or cosmetic "upgrades"? I would question as to what kind of HP upgrades your talking about to make you decide over a 1ss or 2ss.

As for you asking how much getting for you to do leather yourself or having somebody do it. Each place is different, I would suggest calling some people up and getting quotes yourself. I could be cheaper depending on where you live.

I would suggest looking at everything you get with the 1SS and compare it with what comes in the 2SS. I went the 2SS route because I wanted a 2SS, and all the bells and whistles that come with it.

28 bucks extra a month for a 2SS. Is it really that hard to sacrifice 28 dollars a month for a fully loaded 2SS Camaro? Quit smoking, eat out half as much, cut your DVD buying in half.

Just my 2 cents.

Same here... I've regretted it every time!
Not sure why so many people don't like/want leather. I've never had it in my own vehicle, but my parents have always had it, and my ex had it in her car. LOVED IT!! Iit's way more comfortable to me. I hear people say they slide all over in it... I can see that but I am a big guy I guarantee you there wont me room in that seal for me to slide around in.

Anyway I agree with most have already said. When I bought my 2003 GMC Sierra it was fully loaded minus leather and onstar, I miss that truck so much it had all teh bells and whistles, my FJ did not, so I had to install all the cool stuff I wanted in it... what a pain, I'm getting too old for that... LOL

Quoting Chevyhawk buy the 2SS with no regrets! you wont be kicking yourself "Dang it I need that $28 a month!!" But you will kick yourself saying "I really wish I had the C&C"

I was getting a 1SS, but I'm getting a 2SS now because of the reasons stated in this thread...

... I think I will regret getting a 1SS later.

You said it yourself. You really like the leather and C&C pkg. I think you'll be regretting not getting the 2SS. Me, I don't like leather but I really wanted the C&C pkg. I still went for the 1SS. It's not going to be my daily driver, and I am going to use the price difference for mods.

Good luck with your decision though.

Ok to answer a few of your questions......

1. Its not only $28 but an extra $1000 i have to put down to get that payment

2. I do not want the RS package at all (hate the headlights, no offense)

3. Not interested in the 4 pck gauge, ahhh maybe i would be idk.

4. I can afford both either way, dont need time to save. Just wanted some extra money for mods. Yes it will be mostly for bolt ons for power and a few minor tweeks in cosmetic ext and intr.

5. Im thinking i will definitely regret not going 2SS.

Not sure where you got that info, but the transmission type has nothing to do with 1SS vs 2SS...manual and auto are available in both.

If you have the money, go for it. You won't be let down, not only for the options, but as has been mentioned it will help resale value, for sure.

I'm surprised anyone doesn't like the HIDs. They are sweet, and worth the cost of RS, alone. But, that'll save you the $1000 down, right there.

While the gauge pack is more or less practically "useless", I have heard from several folks that the car looks asthetcially 100% better with it, than without.

I think you know what to do....2SS is the only way to go!

I'm going 1SS because I prefer cloth in the long run. I had both, and IMO Cloth wins out for me in longevity. I will, however, be installing the 4 pack gauges at dealer cost as well as seeing if I can have them wire the USB into the car.

But for sure I am going to go for the 4 Pack gauge cluster. It'll be my own little one off. :/
