I do everything possible to disassociate my car from those stupid movies. It is a Camaro, a car, an obsession... definitely not a transforming robot.

love it or hate it, it is what it is.
The car played a leading role in 3 blockbuster movies and will forever be associated with the franchise, at least the 5th gen.

Last night I decided to work in garage and had the Halloween cndy bowl out there to distribute. Many kids came through (mostly boys, including one in a Transformers costume) and were with 5 feet or so of my Camaro convertible parked top down in the garage.

Two kids ... both of them girls ... were the only ones to notice it parked there (guessing candy focus was a form of tunnel vision). One of the two girls got a huge grin on her face and exclaimed, "Oh! So YOU'RE the one that drives the COOL Mustang!!!"

My car is not an autobot... not a decepticon... not a part of the Star Wars universe .... my car is apparantly a Ford.

I personally think the Transformers cars that are not factory are stupid, and the factory ones are pushing it too. The movies are ok, but I didn't buy the car because I watched the movie and wanted to mimic. I bought because I love my 4th gen and was in the market for another car and stuck with the family.

That said I also don't name my car, don't quite understand that trend either.
