I ordered from Putnam too, but I'm in Los Angeles so I have a nice drive back home to break in the engine. I'm #7 and my order was pulled for production last week.

I actually remembered to check the showroom last night on my drive home. only cadillacs and a malibu there. no camaro. =/

Hi Mindz,
Have you seen the SIM 2SS at Putnam yet. I think it should have got there by now. Having a hard time getting updates from the Dealership. I can't wait for the cars to start showing up in the Bay Area!

The dealer i ordered from said Im invited to a special unveiling on May 7th so im sure you will see them thorough out the Bay Area soon!!! This will be a 2lt dealer car

Sidewayz...What dealer did you order from? My dealer, Fremont Chevrolet said they were having a Camaro Launch in early to mid May with Tim Lincicum of the SF Giants on hand with a few new Camaros. I would have figured Giambi would be there, but oh well. A's are in the cellar now, but there is always the 2nd half of the season, as usual....

Well I think D1BADZ is the first Bay Area delivery. Unless we get news from others here. I know of a few others who ordered from Putnam in Burlingame but no confirmed deliveries as of yet other than D1BADZ who ordered from Courtesy in San Jose.
The tracking links do show several VINs assigned to Bay Area dealerships but when you call those dealers they know nothing about the Camaro. UGH. |

As for the first bay area delivery, D1badz is close, but no cigar. My friend has seen a red one on Stanford's campus everyday for the last two weeks.

I just got an email from Stewart Chevy in Daly City that they have a Yellow Camaro to see. I don't have time to go see it today, can anyone confirm?

I've been getting e-mails from a few dealerships. But when I call to confirm the vehicle is actually on property and available to see/drive, they back track and ask for my info so they can call me when it is.
The only confirmed available one I know of is in Elk Grove. Too bad the guy didn't call my home number instead of my office as I was in SAC this weekend and could have swung by either on the way up or back. Oh well . . . |

Wow, the guy that I've been working with Mike Keylin at Stewart hasn't kept in touch at all, although I saw two of the three IDL's there. wtf?
I'm gonna go on Friday to test drive the yellow one at Stewart if they still have it. EDIT: 5k over msrp for the 6 cylinders too.... What a joke. |

Just went to Fremont Chevrolet and they have a Silver 2LT V6 on the lot, available for anyone to purchase, but marked up 5k!!
Been there 3 days so far... no takers. Imagine that. I will not pay the markup for these cars. With so many dealers agreeing to MSRP, paying markup is a waste and for a local dealer, it makes me search elsewhere... oh well. Just thought you all would like to know. They are supposedly giving test drives in it too... trying to sell it. |

Oh, another thing. the sales guy had NO clue about the features, the convertible, nothing... almost like he had no idea this car was coming. I even heard him tell another couple the convertible is coming in 8 months and will have a hard top. :-o
