Maybe 3000, but not 5000. Unless someone at GM just doesn't like 3000s and 4000s.....

The question is "how many are they building a day now?" If on day one, March 16th they rolled 150 cars off the line starting from scratch then how many did they build on day two, three, etc when the line restarted and there were all those partially built cars on the line?

don't forget, dealers get ABOUT 3 BONUS cars total... X # of chevy dealerships + 15,000 pre orders..... so MAYBE 21,000 cars....

Unless production increased this week, I'm "guessing" it's around 3300. That is at a rate of 200/day.

Disclaimer: Nothing better to do today than guess.

5,000 seems pretty high when you break it down daily

okay i know this is could be stretching it, but might not be too bad but the numbers woot and heinzd have found could just not have the dealer V6's included. instead if production of the dealer V6's started with VINs in the 3000s what you would see at this point is a blending of numbers, getting up into the 5000's, about 2600-2800 ordered cars if dealer V6's didnt start immediately you would be right in the 5xxx's range

what suggests this is using the filter option on Woots current setup you only hit 52 V6 cars, assuming he is hitting about 1 in every 3 VINs (which seems to be about the average) you are only looking at about 150 V6's produced clearly not getting into the dealer V6 range of the 4000 needed.

edit post 300. WOOT!

That's an average of about 250 per day. Easily doable.

Do the math...they have been building for four weeks times 150 a day equals 3000. That's a minimum number! The Mole said they are building in the neighbor hood of 200+ a day now...I would think that there has to be close to 4000 cars built if not more by now.
