If you can afford the coating, sure go for it. It's always a good idea to keep temps. as low as possible.

I have the ARH 1 7/8” headers. I have been told by 2 different shops that sell and promote another brand of header that the ARH header will give an extra 10HP over all the others. I don’t know if it’s true or not but my car is at a performance shop now getting Dyno’ed. When I get the results I will post them.

This is the 3rd day the shop has had my car and the waiting is killing me.

I went with the Kooks Stepped. I am getting them coated too... I was alreayd leaning towards the kooks because of their reputation and they are one of the few that offer a stepped header. And then I saw the two in person at a Car show a few weeks back and I decided to go with the Kooks.

I bought the Kooks stepped and had them coated from Maryland Speed. They are being installed now as I write this. I have a before dyno and will have the after once it is tuned. I'll post the numbers hopefully by Friday.

I currently have CAI Inc intake and Borla S-type cat back. My initial pull was 377 RWHP and 366 TQ on a Mustang Dyno. Tuner said my car performed exceptionally well for what I have in it. He was surprised at the timing for a stock tune.

Thanks and if you can post up your gains once you get them installed and dyno.

Def great to have a baseline to go off , are you going to get it dyno also before tuning it? To see the gains from just the headers before the tune?
Either way thank you and looking forward to see your results

Nito, I've said this in the past but it bears repeating. There are no advantages to step headers on a street car with a full exhaust. It's colossal waste of money as the exhaust (especially with cats) hinders every advantage a step header provides. It's all hype I assure you. Whichever brand you choose, a straight header will perform to your expectations. Good luck whichever route you take.

The before was just before the install, so I will see exactly what cats and headers do.

Thank you Nick . You said there is no advantage to step headers on a street car with a full exhaust and High flow cats , so in what set up is there any advantage of getting any stepped headers?

So far what I got is a K&N CAI , and a Flowmasters outlaw series 3" cat back.
Looking to do the headers with a tune and maybe a cam & pulley down the road, maybe I'll stop there .. most likely but maybe I won't

If you are able to get ARH for that price I would jump all over it. I have the ARH headers on my car and love them.

That being said you can't go wrong with Kooks either...
