In all honesty, I don't think they're that bad.
I do remember they used to have things that attached to your valve stems and as the wheels spun around they would light up giving a circle effect. That wasn't the whole wheel though. For real, I think they're kind of cool.

this isn't that bad. at least give the guy credit for not putting 30's on his car. i wanna see a camaro w/ glow in the dark rims...
