I would sell the V before the Camaro IMHO the V you will get between $19k-21k for the Camaro plan on $28k-$30k

Resale value is dropping on these cars. I think the luster is starting to wear off. If you want to hold out for a private party you might get 27K but you're more realistically looking at >25K. IMO decide what you are looking to do and if you're looking for just a cruiser then keep the V and ditch the SS, it's a nicer car and will most likely hold it's value a bit better.

Do what you gotta do... I wouldn't keep an 05 CTS-V over a 2010 SS though. I actually made a pretty close choice recently.

Get rid of both of them and get a CTS-V Coupe.

You'll get $30,000 for your Camaro with the low miles. Sell the Cts-v.

Friend of mine just sold his 2010 2ss/rs, 800 miles, supercharged plus a few other mods for 30k. This was trade-in. He ordered a ZL1.

First gen CTS-V is a far cry from the current model. I'm not fan boying here, I'd take a 09+ V sedan over a Camaro but not the 05.

CTS-V coupe

Don't know what your family (size) nor financial situations are but...

You're in Chicago - snow country. I'd potentially look at something a little roomier and maybe with front wheel or AWD and perhaps something a little more "family travel" suited so you might be able to travel comfortably in all types of weather as well as with what your wife feels safe and comfortable driving, all things considered.

The financial end is multi-fold in that your CTS-V is going on 7 yrs. How much will you be able to get for it via private sale or trade-in? How important is it really to get a "new" car? How important is it that you want to keep your Camaro? Will what you get for your vehicle influence what you'll be able to afford in place of it?
