that has to be a CTF. . . no way a new Camaro would have that rust on the exhaust already.

Way to much brake dust on the inside of the rims too.

It's pre treated, galvanized. If you want to put a coat of Hammerite Rust cap and or POR 15. (Por 15 has been chipping on me.. kinda sucks after 2-3 years).

Hammerite has crushed glass and resin. It seals metals even over rust to stop the oxidation process.

Doesn't mean it is hollow. GTOs had a connection just like that but it was solid, just for structural support. As for the rust, that is the hauler, not the car.

Most of the welds you see are from robotics.

looks like it has an H pipe, H section whatever u wanna call it. If you look at the other pic its not a clamp, but a pipe between each pipe.

Put your money in the other mods and wait till this exhaust is all crusty then upgrade the exhaust. Or just take this one off and a coathanger might slip from your hand... several times.. into the shaking cats. I hate it when that happens... like my old RX7.

(don't do that... I am a bad influence...)

Actually that would not work cause they are not corroded yet.

This newer pic of a "production" V6 shows a true X pipe. Check out page 11.

The V6 and V8 production cars both get an H pipe which you see in the undercarriage pictures. The pipes comming into the H and exiting it are left with a gap of almost 4" between them. The H is in 2 pieces, a top and bottom half. When welded together it bridges this gap and creates a crossover pipe in the area where the gap is.

Everything is welded from the band clamp behind the second cat all the way to the muffler.

Hope this helps!
