Cars ALL look great... another question- anyone do springs ONLY (no sway bars?) pros/cons?

Thanks again! Appreciate all the help from C5!

You must have really loved Saturday then huh?

Sways will reduce roll when hitting the corners. If you are looking at doing your stuff in stages, wait to install both at the same time so you don't have to get your car aligned twice.

I was almost in tears last weekend! Who blocks TWO field goals in one game!?!?!? WTF!?!?!

As for the sway bars... I have a vert w the extra bracings, does lowering it effect the roll where its a necessity or just an added luxury? Honestly, I'm just going for looks on this mod. If its necessary tho to do with the springs, then so be it... but if its just a performance enhancement thenbi may just do the springs.

After wiping out on a bike years ago pushing a corner, I'm a little gun shy when it comes to hard corners now. Just want a more aggressive stance for the car

Sways will for sure reduce the roll more than the slight increase in spring rate you get with lowering springs. But you will not have to get an alignment after installing them. You would only need to get an alignment after changing the ride height with lowering springs.

If looks is your primary goal, then don't worry about adding sway bars. Sway bar upgrades are fantastic bang-for-buck mods, but it is NOT a necessity when lowering the Camaro. So you are fine to just install lowering springs. Sways are for sure recommended due to what a big increase in performance you get and how much easier it makes the vehicle to drive with the correct balance, but I know you will be extremely happy with lowering springs!

Kevin,
You should probably ask who has pics of lowering springs on their convertible!

I put the pfadt springs on mine, and then switched to Pedders XAs because the pfadt were too low in the back for my liking. I guess it is because the convertibles weigh more in the back. I don't remember exactly what the drop was on the pfadt, but if you just want to do springs, then you'll probably want to go with a staggered setup. I sold the pfadt springs to a guy in our club with a coupe and they look perfect.

This is probably the best picture showing the pfadt springs. I think it actually looked worse in person, especially when it wasn't parked downhill.
