I did mine too. Plenty of pictures if you want to PM me for any. Everyone is correct about opening them being the hardest part. Once they're open, just make sure you reheat the black housing and reshape back to the way it was before you started prying so it'll seal properly when you're done. Don't be cheap with the silicone. Add more to the outside after it dries if you feel the need. And don't worry about how the edges of the lens look, it'll all be covered up by the front fascia when mounted. I didn't check to see if you have an RS or not, but mine was an RS. Not sure how the non RS halos mount on.

Some buddies in my club helped do mine last June. I also did the fog lights, footwell lights and afterburner lights. We took our time and followed the instructions with no issues. I can switch from White to Blue from in the car and also under the hood.

Here are the lights in white. I get allot of looks and compliments

Here are the lights in blue. I highly recommend gettng the fog lights as well

Footwell lights. I also have the blue dome light and it looks sick at night

Afterburner lights

Try 275 at 18 minutes.....

I've found that to be near perfect.

We've done too many to count the last two years.....I can't even begin to think how many. I know it's gotta be in the 50/60s somewhere and I can tell you that it does get easier.

Meaning, once you do your first headlight, the other side will be almost easy as pie. After you get over the whole "bake it and screwdriver to open it" the next time you do it unafraid and it's faster.

Like the rest of the replies mentioned, watch the two good AAC videos and have all your stuff laid out before you start.

It will save you time and effort. It's nice to be able to use the time to work the headlights and be efficient in your process.

I've never heard anybody who did it on their own say that they wouldn't do it again afterwards.

Really nice to be able to look back and say that you did it on your own afterwards too!

Let us know if we can be of further assistance!

280? Wow that's high. I do mine at 235 for 15 minutes and that's fine. Then need to rewarm them up after a little bit but that's just a quick pop in the oven.
Yea I thought it was high but seemed to work best. The first one I did was 220 for 20 min. Then had to reheat a couple more times. After those attempts when to 250. Was a little better. Still took some effort. My second light I took a chance at 280 and the lens came off in a few minutes without reheating. It was a blessing to me.

Man thank you all for your input. Never knew there were that many "brave" soles out there. I think I'll go ahead and make my purchase. I'm also thinking about possibly putting in some strobes, and since i'll have the headlight apart, I guess that would be the time to do it. Does anyone know if the strobe will melt any part of the housing. I was looking at some strobes from LED Glow. Anyone else have strobes?

Easy....doesn't make sense to provide parts to people if they can't install them on their own.

Strobes should be reletively safe. They do create some heat so you'd have to monitor how long you play them.

Yeah it would be a good time to do that while you have them apart.

when you guys are putting in the halo's are you just sticking them in there by the way of the back sided tape that is on them or are you putting something on the back to make it stick better?

There are actually 2 sizes now and they literally go right in without any tape now.

Meaning that the OD of the fog light rings from AAC are the same size as the ID of the fog housings.

Nice and tight!!
