Any real techs out there to fix these vert issues properly?

They should have detailed computer models of the car including the top. These models include all of the part tolerence data, stiffness, loads, spacings and the like. One then runs what is called a Monte Carlo analysis that varies all of the parameters to discover any problems. Then some actual testing is done to validate the results from the model and if they support the model and make sense then the changes are implemented.

GM has all of the tools and smart people to do this quite quickly. I suspect they are either ignoring our problems or have set goals for the engineering group that are not achieveable. The most probable goal is that the fix will be very cheap and not require the tops and possibly other parts of the car to be changed and then replaced on existing cars.

It is a simple cost analysis that is performed looking at the engineering and implementation costs versus their expected warranty costs and expected lost revenue from reduced sales due to the problem. Until the results of this analysis swings the other way we will never even hear about any fix even if and when they have one.

I'm sorry to say this but this just how business works today. The stockholders are only interested in profits and stock prices and don't really care about us.
