All of the above advice is great and you should follow it for sure. I bought my 2010 2SS/RS used, I was looking for a 2010 specifically late last year when I bought mine. I drove probably 12-15 used 2010 cars before I settled on the one I own now. Let me tell you, there are a LOT of these cars out there that have been beat on pretty badly in a relatively short period of time. Miles isn't always a good indicator, some of the lower miles cars I test drove were in the worst shape. The car I finally settled on had the second highest amount of miles of all the cars I drove. So for sure DO NOT buy this car sight unseen, either you or have someone drive the car before you buy. Also make sure to get a carfax on any used vehicle you buy, it may not show everything on the cars history but it will show any major events with that vehicle.

29k for the car is low balling him. the car is worth more than that. if you pay 32k for car and delivery i think you're getting a pretty good deal. you are incurring the inconvenience of buying cross-state; the dealership couldn't care less.

Hey OP I would take a day off work and fly there. Check the airfair. It's probably 250 dollars. Then you get to check it yourself. It'll be fun to have a road trip in your new camaro. You wanted to pay 900 for shipping anyway. So it should cover the cost of flying and gas. On my used SS i paid 28,700 out the door price including tax title and license after speaking to 27 dealerships. ROAD TRIP.

with years left on your factory warranty, a scam is unlikely, especially with a reputable dealer. even bumper to bumper still has some time. with detailed pics, carfax, and if they classify it as a certified used car, you actually get some extra warranty stuff thrown in like free oil changes. that car is probably $38-39,000 new. 7,000 miles is barely broken in. sounds like a deal to me.

Wow! This is the exact model I was looking for as well. If you're passing it up, I'm definitely taking it. I was going to be there next Monday anyway. Thanks, Nutro! JK

Actually, I recommend you do a combination of what people are asking. I'd hate to pay for a trip then find out it's not what you want. I'd enlist the help of a board member from that region to take a look at it. Ask them to look at what you're concern areas. Maybe take a few pictures of any flaws he may see. Then if that proves satisfactory, I'd pay the flight to drive it back home. It's just one extra level of review before you fly out.

In the alternative, why can't you find something in Texas? The state's as big as other countries. In fact, I took a trip out to Austin last Spring and drove down to San Antonio. Surely, you can find something between Austin and San Antonio.

As others have mentioned, see if you can get a fellow C5 member to check it out. If they give you the go ahead, jump on it.

Don't listen to the sales person - they will tell you ANYTHING to get you in the door, and don't care if you walked barefoot from California.

What everyone says above make sense to me. See it and drive it if you can. The only perfect car is the one that hasn't been seen or driven yet.

I just did the same thing. Mine was at a dealership in MI and I live in FL. Have them bring it to the local dealership. Then talk to the service manager. They will be honest with you. It may cost you $50 to $100.

Mine will be here on Monday. I will let you know how mine turns out.

Remember it's the car you want. 2k doesn't mattter in the end if it's the car you want. It's not a ford festiva.

Why not buy one off the forums? There are beautiful, well-cared for ones available for less than the one you're interested in, OP.

NUTRO, for that kind of money/purchase get your on a plane and go up there yourself to inspect/write the check or finance/shake hands with dealer/road trip it back home. You'll have a great time driving that car cross country. Just time the weather so you don't have snow. I drove from KY up to CT and back to let Jannetty do some work on my car. Had a great time. Get er done.

Yeah I'm debating doing that. I called my credit union and they are supposed to call me back tomorrow to let me know if they'll finance it (They usually don't finance out of state purchases but they might make an exception for me) or not.

If not, I already have my eye on a few here in Texas.
