That's what I was thinking. Considering this small step up because of hearing after market gears have noise problem? This would essentially be OEM stock gear. Would the shift points be a problem if manual paddle shift is used? Only in auto drive/sport modes, right? With about 5-6% difference in gear ratio, how much of a problem with the shift points? The 2MPH in the speedo really isn't a concern. Thanks Roger for the info.

The A6 will drive fine with the 3.45 gear and no trans tune. It's just that it will run SO MUCH BETTER with a trans tune. My Richmond 4:10s are dead quiet!
Find a friend with a M6 Camaro that wants a gear change. Then swap center sections with him and put the new gears in your center section for his car. We exchanged center sections in the A6 car in about 40 minutes.

Did you recaibrate the speedo when you did the 4.10s? Ifso what did you use?

Ok what is the difference in the v8 and v6 rear end
I'm guessing the v8's are stonger |
