Only reason I don't get AAC's light was due to having to cut part of the body. Not sure if I could of done it without screwing it up.

I have a brand new one that the center LEDs. 1 on each side of bend go off when snapping the bar into place on car. The last one blew out a few LEDS on 1 side of the bar after a rain storm.

It would be nice just to hear one way or the other from him. If he is not covering them just let us know.

I'm also waiting on a replacement. Mine just stopped working. Said he'd send me another but that was probably last summer. The AAC one looks like crap.

The big question is "IF" he did go out of business. That is why I asked him in my last email to let me know if this issue was going to be taken care of or not. I actually just went on his website and here is what he posted on there:

NOTE: Shipping of lights is on pause at the moment. The website hasn't been accepting orders for a couple of months. We use a production company for assemby, they have moved offices and getting geared up again for production, we havn't received lights from them for some time. I run Knightlight by myself. There isn't profit in the lights to employ anyone to help out, so I am on my own with sorting out issues. With 1800 emails in a couple of months, there are a fair few to get though as I have been away from emails since the beginning of November. I will try to get though the emails as soon as possible.

I don't know Dan personally but from chatting with him on Facebook he seems sincere, I'm not going to pass judgement on him yet. We all want our lights to work properly and some may have been waiting a long time (my remote stopped functioning back in Sept).

My actual light is fine, its the harness that went bad so he promised to send me a new harness with connector since i had to cut the other one to get the light off. As for the ACC light, i actually have one of those that i just ordered, however like you i am hesitant to install due to the cutting that has to be done. I probably have the same email address you have and i have sent him an email like every month and over the last month i have hit him up like every week with no response. As i said in my email to him, i think i could deal with it better if he said he was out of bizz instead of just leaving loyal customers in limbo like he has done thus far!

Update:
Dan replied in depth to me. He is actually having some rough times (not going to go into them on here). He is planning on taking care of this situation. I'm sure some won't care and only want their lights back to working condition which is understandable. We can all bitch and moan or just ride it out.

Craig Its great that you talk to him and I think everyone can relate to tuff times, but I think Dan needs to come here and let us know himself. I appreciate you taking the effort to aid in communication with him, but hold more weight coming from him.
Again not bashing you and really appreciate the effort, but please encourage him to contact us here or via emails sent. I enjoyed using the product so much I am willing to wait. Its really is a clean install that generates LOTS of attention. To bad someone in the US (little bit closer than the UK) could not develop something as well.
Maybe Dan would be willing to sell the design scheme and product manufacture and can take over.

I totally agree if he posted on here all of us would feel a great more at ease. I did tell him quite a few members are concerned. All I can do is hope he will eventually come on here and post.
I don't take anything personal on here.

Thanks for the update......i hope he gets whatever situation he is going through fixed. On another note....it still doesnt excuse tha fact that he has not communicated any of this to the rest of us and unless he wants to get Blasted on all the forums he might wanna start making amends in some way....even if its just an email. I'm now off my soap box and my bitching and moaning is complete! To whomever started this thread, thanks a lot....at least i know I'm not alone.

Let me ask you all a question, has anyone had to reset their remote? and if you did did it work?
When I push the buttons the light lites up on the control board but the actual light doesn't respond.

I got the product when it first hit...crapped out 2 times on me. So I finally gave up. Between all the emails, lost time, shipping, and bs...it wasnt worth the 150. The guy means well but the product is just too problematic.

Yea i had to do it because i had a jacked up remote in the begining and i had to do it after getting the replacement remote. Worked fine. My harness is crapped out now it doesnt respond to anything....no light at all. Your actual light may be the problem and not the harness and control board.
