Thanks for the pics of one sexy ZL1.

And for those who ordered a automatic with the suede package, this the first vehicle and pics I've seen with what looks to be a suede auto shifter

Love the black ZL1 wheels but I think a black ZL1 looks better with the 5 spokes.

It was a great time. As others stated we were all bummed Scott wasn't feeling well. But someone has a Camaro drawing done with the Philadelphia skyline in the background. Jewel and I both signed the matting with our names and then our C5 names. Hopefully this makes Scott's day a little brighter.

I was able to drive the Volt and the Sonic.

However, since Scott was sick I was unable to sit in the ZL1. It was still a hell of a time though and easily worth the long drive from central pa and the early wake up call today.

It was truly a pleasure to meet some of my fellow c5'ers and see the ZL1 up close and share it with all the Chevy faithful.

Feel better fbodfather! And thanks again for a wonderful experience.

I am so very sorry that I wasn't able to be there.

For many years I got migraines - fortunately they went away (or so I thought) after I rec'd heart stents back in 2006 -

I awoke at 1am this morning-- with a migraine severe enough that I lost partial sight.....and the only real cure is to prop oneself up in bed - and hold on for dear life. (lots of 'dreams' and flashes and such...and sometimes nausea) They can last for as short as 4 hours and as long as 12. (right now it's calmed down to a dull 'thud'...)

By 4:30am I realized that there was no way I'd be able to show up to unveil the ZL1 and enjoy a morning with my fellow enthusiasts....:( and that is a huge disappointment for me.

Jeremy and Ashley ( Jeremy Donovan -- who is one of our "12 disciples of which there are 15") were staying at the same hotel - so I called him and asked him to come by my room and pick up the Tickets so that everyone could continue with their morning encounter with the ZL1.

I apologize to all of those who made the trip to Philadelphia - and especially to those of you who have a ZL1 on order and came to Philadelphia (...it was my intention to have those with a ZL1 on order come up on the turntable to climb in and get the 'Ultra-grin' started......)

I DO hope all of you who made the show had a great time - and that it was well worth getting up very early in order to see the ZL1 prior to show-open.

And finally - a very special "thank you!" to Mr. Mark Hendron for what I understand is a most remarkable work of art. Unfortunately I haven't seen it yet - i've asked Jeremy to take a picture of it and send it to me - and to take the work of art home with him and then ship to my home.... (as I can't get it on the plane in the morning) -

Mark, I know the quality of your work - and I know it is something that I will always treasure -- and I am anxious to get it and display it with great pride.

.

Black is the new Awesome.

Has no one mentioned that the headrest lettering is completely non-red ?

BTW, Scott - Get the Doc to give you some Maxalt. The stuff nips migraines in the bud very effectively.

Glad your feeling a little better, I had a traumatic brain injury last year and know all about severe migraines :( .

By the way guys, my order QBVGJ5 went to 2050 status about the time the Carbon Fiber went off constraint, I think the 2 are related. Just a hunch. After seeing the ZL1 at car shows, the anticipation keeps building. Regards.
