It sounds like you don't like the Mustang. You know what really sucks? Making payments on a car you don't like. I strongly recommend against it.

No amount of horsepower will make you feel good driving and paying for a car you don't like.

You are not even comparing the NEW Mustang to the Camaro. You are using the old Mustang.

If you want the cheapest car you can buy with the most HP then get the Mustang.

But if you want the best car, get the Camaro. Compare all the critical hardware in the Chassis and Powertrain, the Roominess of the car, the Fuel Economy. The Mustang offers the ability to get NAV and a nice metal plate across the dash (if you like that).

To be honest when I see some of the new Challengers in person they "move me" depending on color etc. only prob is I wouldnt get the RT and would want the SRT8 but its sooo expensive I just cant justify it. I like the camaro but I'd have to give a slight edge in looks to the Challenger in my opinion anyways. Problem is they are heavier, and because of it slower and worse handling.

Heres a reason to NOT buy one.....Just today drove by the Ford dealership...sitting there were 3 09 Mustang "RoushCharger" cars. Fully Roushed out with ALL the bells and whistles including the S/C with intercooler and all. HP? 435 with 400 TQ. Price 52K!! How can you even think about a Stang even if it had ALL that only to be embarrassed by a $35K or so stone stock SS?? Enough said....

You could also get a 2006 GTO and put on a supercharger if you want a good deal. Just hang on to your Trans Am longer until you are ready for the Camaro.

Buy the Camaro it is an awesome car. Just picked mine up last thursday. Was out of town for friday and saturday, took it out tonight could not believe the looks the car got. Have a 2SS with the RS pkg, Rally yellow. Probably will paint the SS stripes on.

Spike, as usual you are correct. I was limiting myself to the 09 Mustang vs Camaro. You have suggested a superb alternative.

When is the release of the 2010 mustang, or is it already out?
