I saw in a previous thread someone else having this issue and they also in the same region of the world as you. From what I recall this is a limit set in the computer for the Camaros sold in the region.

Edit: I found the previous thread.

Also, i know about the setting in the DIC and i have it switched off, however it still switches to the warning msg which just wont go away until i roll down to speeds below 120 kmph, which i believe is 75 mph. Any idea of what I'm ramblin on about?

How did you remove the speed limiter? Could it be a bad tune/program that's making the warning pop up?

Must be something unique to your region or my tuner already turned it off. I've been over 180 and haven't seen this message.

Likewise, I've been faster, but was at 125 today and no warnings as of yet. On a track of course...

Yeah its for the middle east cars. GM service won't remove it for you either, and no one else knows how to remove it.

Just use the stupidly thick needle, it helps you estimate your speed within +5 to -5 lol

Speed restrictor removal

Honestly, my tuner uses the HP tuners kit to tune all the GM muscles that come to him and he's the one who removed the speed limiter for me because of which i am able to hit speeds excess of 155 mph. However about it possibly being a bad tune, i doubt it because all our cars here in the middle east come from the factory like that, with a warning msg on the DIC at speeds excess of 75 mph. I was checking to see if our american cousins had the same issue and if so, what would be the solution.

This is from an old thread and is the only limit I have found for cars in North America from the factory.

...which begs the question: where are you going to go to drive the car over 150mph??? (and -- next question -- and I don't mean this to be a put-down -- but have you been thru an in-depth defensive/performance driving school.....I say this because many cars can go fast - but we tend to forget that you cannot override the rules of physics........)

As to defaulting the traction control to 'off' -- my question is "why?"
It's there for a reason - and the biggest one I can think of is to protect the driver from accidents. (.....and I should also add -- '...and anyone unfortunate enough to be near said driver when they do something to lose control of their vehicle.........)

I am having the exact same issue. As the second (and proud!) owner of a 2015 ZL1, I think the car I own is a Canadian car (I know they were all made in Canada). Were they programmed differently to be sold in Canada and the US?
