Yeah, but I'm being really picky. Here's what I'm looking for. New or used is OK, but I would like about 15k miles or less. 2010/2011 1ss/2ss with/without RS Black Manual around $32k new around $30K used While we are on the subject, do we have any good hagglers here? Does anyone have any idea of the flex room sales people have to negotiate? He has quoted me a 2012 SS at $36k MSRP. Would it be too much to get down to $34k or less? What are some good ways to go about doing that?

Awesome! Glad to see someone else has tried this already. Do they need to re-program for the steering wheel, or is it just for the tachometer? Did you have it done at the dealership and how much did it cost? I've taken apart the dash gauges before, so I'm confident I can do that, but how hard is it to install the steering wheel?

I'll PM you for details. Need to actually get the car first, but I am interested in it (the wheel plus original bezel. Carbon fiber wouldn't look right unless a;; of the interior was done)

![]() ![]() Both look great, IMO. The old gauges have more of a retro feel to them. |

One thing I can never figure out about the gauges is the cruise control symbol. It's a symbol of a gauge with the needle at a set point. And they always put it in the tachometer. Call me crazy, but the cruise holds the speed steady, not the RPM. Shouldn't it bein the speedo? I've got two other Chevy's and both of those is in the tach also.
I traded a '10 for a '12, didn't even notice the gauge difference until pointed out, I only watch the speed on the DIC and now the HUD on the '12. The steering wheel though, I definately like the feel of the '10 better. But the '10 big round center was kind of odd. A '10 with a better styled center would probably be the best. I do like how the dash now looks above the radio and glove box with the soft surface and stitching. They kind of fixed the dash from the overly plasticky look, but screwed the steering wheel up. The complaints on the '10 wheel was the goofy big round center. I wish they would have just addressed that instead of throwing a parts bin corporate wheel in there. The old '10 wheel had a great feel in your hands to it. |
