Newbie Going to Place Order--Predictions?

Just got back from the dealer, Ballweg Chevrolet in Middleton, WI, where I placed my order for a CGM 2SS 6M with RS and IO interior. No sunroof. Sold to me at MSRP. The sales manager, Dan Freeman, was very mellow and knowledgeable. No gimmicks, no haggling, the whole process as smooth as could be. I would recommend working with him to anyone in Wisconsin.

He expects the car to arrive in 8-12 weeks, which is just what I was hoping for.

Now the fun and agony of waiting for updates begins.

Yup. I was leaning SS anyway, but I drove the Pontiac G8 in a V-6 and a V-8, since those were the closest comparisons available to make. If I had any doubt left, the G8's V-8 obliterated it. I mean, no disrespect, the V-6 was plenty fast, just didn't have the immediate surge, the growl. We went for a drive on some winding country roads and my salesman Dan, who is an ex-cop, told me to, "Go ahead, get on it," so I hammered the V-8 and it was plenty of whupass. Car felt solid as a rock, and the Cammy's V-8 is going to feel even better.

So, yeah, there is peace of mind in knowing I went "all in." I feel like I have just taken a large dose of morphine. I highly recommend this legal drug known as O-Cam (ordering a Camaro).
