I Didn’t pre order and it sucks. All of the dealerships around Philly are greedy bastards and charge 4,000+ above MSRP. I think its a real big slap in the face to all of the fans of the car and that these dealers ,who are struggling to stay afloat, are willing to show the door to so many who are willing to give them money. It simply amazes and disappoints me. If I can’t get a car within the next few months at a normal price ill be buying something else sadly.

walked in, put in an order on 3/28/09 and got my TPW today for June 1-7. @ MSRP

I went to order, but they told me the lead time was 5-6 months (after saying 6-8 weeks in a email).

After getting inside the dealers lot car, I did not want to get out!

Ordered mine on 04/27/09. Got my workbench #. says preliminay, priority #1 and sold. I was told by my dealer it wouldn't come in until Sept sometime as long as GM doesnt file bankruptcy etc. I was lucky enough to get MSRP and I put down a $500 deposit. I won't realistically look for the car until Oct/Nov if GM strikes or the talks in Canada fall through the cracks. And I only ordered 2LT RS Black/Black automatic with sunroof and 20 " polished rims.

I went in to my dealer today to look at the show room car they got on Monday (SIM) and it is already sold. They had allocation for 2, one was ordered in Oct and they other which was me in Feb and neither car is past 1100. The guy walked in off the street this week and bought the V6. He will be driving his around long before either of the pre-orders will be here, and I put $5000 down up front.

I ordered mine 3/18 so I'm not sure if that is considered a true Pre-order or not. Got my workbench # and have been at 1100 ever since. Put $500 deposit down. Dealer says it all depends on his allotment for May. He had 5 allotments in April and hopes to get 10 in May (me too) but he probably will get 5 instead. Which means my order won't be pulled by GM until the June allotment...which means August delivery at best. Assuming no bankruptcy drama is involved.

Called dealer a couple of times and got my order # and thats it. Called GM today and they verified the order but no TPW yet. GM stated that they did not have Workbench codes and that future inquries should go through the dealer.

Ok, nevermind, but I know I've read people that ordered after March 15th have already received their cars....or was I experiencing a Boomer Sooner moment? C'mon people I'm looking bad here, speak up....please!

I'm not trying to make anyone look bad, I really want to know if there is anyone that didnt preorder, or swing by a dealer and buy someone elses car that they backed out on. a regular order that is already on the road.
