gmgdave, your design looks a lot better than the offset front plate that ZL1 owners in Ontario, Canada have to put up with.
Agreed that having to have a front plate at all is silly, as well as the thoughts about the aesthetics and the aero issues. |

It is bolted to the bottom of the splitter. There is a small amount of clearance between the brackets and the front edge of the splitter. The clearance is 2-3MM and since it is at the bend it will not touch the front of the splitter. The splitter has about 10-12 torque screw across the fornt of the splitter on the bottom side.

On a side note the front brake cooling ducts in the lower grill look really cool.

I am going to try to go with no plate.
it is funny I have had vett's for 5 years no front plate tickets. probably in a camaro though I will. we will see. I will go remote mount if I run one.
