I think when it comes down to it... "Show mods" are generally less expensive than "go mods". This is definitely the case with me. I've spent less than $500 on everything I've done to my car so far (all show). ALso, there's always the lack of know-how. I'm not very mechanically inclined, and while I definitely plan on upping the performance, I don't want to just buy an ol' "pick-a-part" with a flashy emblem on it and throw it on my car. Another reason why I joined the forum, so I can pick the brains of all the other C5 owners that know way more about that aspect than I .

Thinking about mods and the LS, I am saving for new rims I like the donington wheels. Though I may get a new front bumper instead. I dont like the license plate on the front of my car. So I may get an SS bumper and have the mailslot filled in. Or the ZL1. Though that money could go toward new rims. I really dont like the rims the most... ugh..

I really appreciate a well-kept stock LS. But I also appreciate the mods that other people do to their cars. If they like it--hey, more power to them.

My SS will be stock for a long time, just the way I like it

I actually miss my plain stock look. The grass is always greener on the other side though. When I first bought my car, I jumped on visual mods early.

Mass air flow sensor, throttle body spacer, K&N air charger, Flowmasters with 4" tips. Does not run or sound like it did when I first bought my LS. Billet grill, rear fin, splash guards (for Colorado), strut post brace is my start. I found a few sites that are just going to get me in more trouble. But what fun!

I haven't modded at all. Yet. Still have warrantee, and at some time, this may become a second car which I can spend some time customizing.

First thing I want to do is improve the suspension, more than anything else. I want to get this, though maybe not everything right away...though it'd be nice to do it all at once.

Except perhaps a CAI & new Exhaust, I'm not really going to mod the engine until I get the suspension done right.
