I've driven my car 75 miles...haven't seen the skip shift come on yet. Oh yea...and by the way....I'm getting horrible mileage too.

Skip shift has been on Corvettes for 15 years...under very light acceleration it will propt you to shift to 4th to theroretically increase mileage. This is done to improve the EPA sticker for estimated mileage...not a big deal at all in everyday driving.

No the skip shift is not a glitch. Its there for gas saving measures and to avoid the Gas Guzzler Tax. Soon enough there will be something to bypass it like on the 4th gens.

damn ya just beat me too it...lol

When I drove a 4th gen Z28 with Skip Shift, I just started going from 1st to 3rd. Worked fine.

Emblamer, Many say they don't notice the skip shift. Are you seeing the same thing?

I have one in my truck. I don't care too much for the fragrance.
