$86/mo.....driving accident free with no claims for 26 years gets a low rate and promised renewable....when the rates go up with this car, you can bet that the majority of the claims affecting it are due to vandalism.

Mine has dropped about $80/ month. I had a 2001 celica that cost me 160/ month then I got the Camaro dropped to $86/month. Good driving records and staying with same insurance for a long time helps just saying.

Insurance companies are out to make money. They do it just like everyone else does. That's how capitalism works.

So my premiums went UP to $368 for 6 months of coverage. That OVER $2 USD a fricking DAY.

Can y'all keep it below 100 MPH?

Thanks in advance.
Maybe it is you that is the problem my insurance as stated by others has gone DOWN just saying I pay 62.50 a month which is not much less then you pay. My Altima is more costly then my camaro.

You guys are getting screwed on your insurance rates. Mine went down at my last renewal. I pay $70/month for both of my cars combined, $27/month for the Olds (no collision), and $43/month for the 5.0 (full coverage).

If vandalism rates really are that much higher on the Camaro, then that is unfortunate. I'll never understand what people think they are achieving by tearing someone else down.

Mine went down from $1,240 a year, for my 2006 F-350 Dually Diesel, to $1,022 a year for my new, 2012 RS Vert. Of course moving from New Jersey to Florida didn't hurt either!

Really no sympathy here for those rates OP. No offense.

No speeding tickets, nothing in almost 20 years and I am paying about $1100 a year.

The main issue I found is where you live. (I'd be curious if my DFW Camaro peers are in the same boat). I see you guys in BFE paying 1/2 what I do.

And, don't get me started about why they ask your marital status, education level and credit rating just to give you a quote. And, I'm an "educated" guy with excellent credit.

My rates are similar to what they always were. I'm not complaining about what I'm paying because this is a Camaro. I'm confused about what a lot of you are paying.

Yeah, as people continue to turn off TC and wreck their Camaros and/or file claims for every little knick or scratch, rates for everyone will continue to climb.

Thats because the insurance company knows that no one is going to want to steal a mustang j/k sweet rates.

I pay 90 a month total for full coverage on 2 vehicles, on a 2012 v6 Camaro and a 2011 Buick enclave with 2 drivers. Included in that price is also my renters insurance. Love USAA!
