Fun thread! The keyboard certainly is the great equalizer.

Itsadryheat79- you and a few others would difinately be invited if anyone steps up. I figure only takers I may get would be modded GT500s. I know at least 1 stock 11 GT500 is shopping for mods after meeting me last weekend...

Time to go drive! Have fun bench racing y'all!

You could have a point. Im not a mustang expert. Wich 2011s say GT500 on the lower fender behind the front wheel? Are there differences?

Well for one thing it's not a CTS-V. All one has to do is change one variable and you have your answer. Simple

Too bad you're not near Houston because my buddy has a bone stock '2012 that runs 12.2's on stock tires. 11.9's with DR's. (NT05R's) That's also wothout skinnies. He's got a quick one. It's would be a driver's race if you knew what you were doing at the track. If not, you would lose.

If you went to the track, you wouldn't have to ask that. Sometimess you hook, sometimes you don't. If you see a high MPH but a low ET, it's usually traction problems... or a toyota supra : )

A shop dynoed one the other day and it made about 50 hp more than it was rated for. Just saying.

It does make one wonder....
GM talked up a lot of simulations stuff but came time to test the ZL1, they wouldn't let it get tested against a GT500. Now the new owners who have gotten their ZL1 who were equally bragful as GM, aren't posting times or challenging a GT500. Too funny.
GT500 guys can't wait to get their new cars on the strip vs whatever, no waiting for bs break in time, yada yada.

Then the dyno was calibrated improperly. The SAE rating standard used by utilized by the zl1 makes underrating near impossible. Dyno #s are easy to inflate.

It will be a drivers race anyway. And no matter who wins there will still be controversy.

I don't understand why there are so few VS and Tests of the ZL1?? All the testing was done with CTF cars, no production cars have been reviewed or tested to my knowledge. The ZL1 is probably the fastest American four seater coupe to ever be produced and it seems like the media is already done with it??

SVT, nope it isn't. It's lighter with more power and grip. What variable are you wanting to change?
