I hate this issue as well, because it makes my fiancee not even want to ride in my car. She can't see over the dashboard without pillows, so she would much rather take our F-150.

I really wish there was a way to fix this without replacing the whole seat so I could take my car more when she is with me!

Wondering why there hasn't been any official statement from GM on this...eh the 2012s have adjustable passenger seats so I guess they don't care anymore...

I fixed mine for free. My 5' 2" wife loves it and said it makes a world of a difference. Some people think it isn't safe, but I do or else I wouldn't put my wife in it.

my wife is 5' even, so she has the same problem. but, the camaro is pretty much just my toy. when we go somewhere we tend to take another car.

FBodfather has commented on GMs reasons for this, on more than one occasion, I think. He has even agreed that it wasn't the best choice... which is why it was changed in 2012. Try this...

Or the problem is that the pass is really short , we just don't know it .

My LS does not have any passenger seat height adjustment, but my driver's side does. Passenger seat only has recline adjustment and of course forward/aft on the slide.

Any adjustment to the seat height puts your passenger at risk in a crash. And generally anyone that rides in my passenger seat is somebody I care about.

It has been often discussed here in Camaro5. When Mrs. Number 3 and I took one of the first CTF cars to California over Christmas 2008 (wow a lonnnnggggg time ago now) she had problems with this. She is a bit over 5'2". She just read books on every trip we ever took in a Gen 5. It is just a known problem with the 2010 and 2011 models since corrected.

At one point Fbodfather hinted it might be a retrofit on the earlier Camaros but I haven't seen that yet.

But again, a lot of people have posted their garage engineering fixes on this site, I don't recommend it under any condition. You are impacting the performance of the seat and airbag in a crash, two things you don't want to do.

GM says don't do it.
That is why I'm still using a folded Beach Towel.
