That's our situation... I bought the Camaro for myself, and got my hubby a Silverado the same day. For Father's day

My wife didn't care about the fact I wanted a Camaro, she cared more about being able to afford it, accountants are like that you know Anyway she went over my entire monthly budget and said ok get whatever you want. Easy as that.

Being married chages your perspective on certain things.
Same here. Wife has always wanted a "cool" car, and it seems like I was always the one getting them.
It was her turn this time.

We had a '69 Camaro when we got married (long time ago). LOL
We managed just fine with that, and traded it in for a brand new '75 when they came out.

May not be practical, but we don't have kids at home any longer.
The grand kids can get in the back seat just fine.

Our garage/driveway if full of impractical vehicles.
The Camaro is the only one that can seat 4.

My Corvette = Only 2 seats.
My Truck = Only 2 seats (Regular cab, short bed, with bucket seats).
The Harley is only good for 2 people also.

.
that's the point that seems to be getting lost on so many. I really don't see what's so hard to understand about a guy with a couple kids whose spouse tells him no way he's getting a camaro. it probably happens all the time. I know 5 years ago I wouldn't have even wasted my time trying to talk my wife into getting one. we needed vehicles with 4 doors, lots of trunk space, low cost of ownership, bulletproof reliability and decent gas mileage. the camaro isn't any of those things, it's a toy.

can it function with a family, sure. is it ideal, hell no. hell, it only seats 4. that pretty much rules it out for anybody with more than 2 kids.

You can't blame the guy for his wife trying to keep the budget in line. The reason I'm not driving a Camaro right now is that I know I'll want to dump thousands into it, costing me over $40k after modification. Keeping that in mind, a lot of married people talk to their spouses about what they want and try to work together on it. Is it really necessary to judge them for their decisions?

These cars are not practical for families with small children. Im a single mom of 6 yr old twins and if I wasnt lucky enough to have multiple cars, the Camaro wouldnt be to practical for me either. Never know what someones situation is....But theres also those women that believe cars are stupid and their 800+ shoe collection makes sense Sadly most women dont get it. Give me car parts any damn day, I hate shopping for shoes, lol! Find a car girl and its all goooood
