Until you go through what some members have gone through you cannot understand what we are feeling about our extremely slow L99’s.
Many as in 4-5 ppl? Seems like a few of you had crappy gas in your tank which killed the power via KR. I wouldnt say that makes a l99 a pile of crap, i would say that makes the gas you bought crap.

L-99 has its limits, just ask around...seems to be 350-370 rwhp and 370-380 rwtq.

Yes good gas is a must.

So....If "It has a shocking resemblence to the ZR1 cam."

why would I buy the LPE cam over the One from gm?

The Cam is very close but there is alot more to a Cam that just the specs shown.Ramp rates at different lifts ect make a big difference in Cam performance. You can take 4 Cams with the same specs but from different grinders and have 4 different looking dyno graphs.

I'm figuring GM went 1 bolt Cams for a cost point of view because the 3 bolt design is stronger.I've seen a few issue's with the 1 bolt and tensioner setup. Every car we build gets a 3 bolt cam gear with a earlier or better chain. Both have alot less slop in them.

Either you are over-reacting or need to do the fuse pull. I have an L99 and it's anything but slow. They are not crap either. Look at the times people are getting with mods and stock. Only cars Ive lost to were seriously modded ones, and I have full bolt-ons now.

I think the initial purpose of this post back in the day was to show that LPE pretty much had their blower cam spot on .. pretty much the same specs when GM came out w/ the LS9

yeah....I thought that there was a "hidden" message in there somewhere. Still not sure which cam is the better choice and why?

I posted in your other thread .. maybe take a look at the new ADM cam ... very street-able and makes better power than the LS9 or LPE cam mentioned.
