Same here. I see lots of our cars on the road every day. It's all good though! Kinda nice actually.

I'll second that the Bumblebee gets a lot of attention.

I honestly didn't buy it for that factor, as I have always thought that the yellow paint / black stripe combo was awesome on a camaro.

Always liked it on the 1st gens. Very classic.

So, when the 5th Gen came out, I knew that was the color combo I wanted, even before it was in the movie. Of course, seeing it in that movie was awesome and double so as I'm a child from the 80's who grew up on transformers..

I'm ok with him shedding his VW Bug exterior for a camaro.

My 2011 2SS/RS doesn't have the factory transformer package, but that doesn't stop people from calling it bumblebee.. I just ended up styling my own transformer package.

Our new vanity plates should be arriving in a couple weeks.. can't wait.

I don't think you'll get used to everyone doing a second look. Since moving here to GA. all the picture taking and drop bys have started all over again. Even the stangs give a wave.....thats the way it should be.LOL

Mine either but as you said, people still call it Bumblebee. I too might plan on putting some autobot emblems for fun but I haven't decided yet. I think I'm just too lazy to look for them online .

As for the rest of the posts, Great stories and thanks for sharing

That is one of the coolest things about owning these cars; seeing a kid's eyes light up and/or point. I can only imagine that is magnified by 100 with a yellow one w black stripes.

Nice to hear good stories, so I'll share one more.
I took some MP3 files and put them on a CD of Optimus Prime talking to Bumble Bee. The first time my niece got into the car ( she is 8 ) I had the Cd in and she flipped out. She was trying to figure out how Optimus was talking to Us. I wish I had the GroPro on when I did that, she was freaked out.

Haha awesome! I got mine in November of 09 so mine was the first around here and people were relentless. After almost three years I still get compliments seemingly everywhere I go.

I agree. I cannot get enough of the kids looking, starring and wanting to see her. One time a little one was all excited and started talking to my car asking her to transform. I told the kid Optimus said to not talk to anyone, but if he asks real nicely to start the engine Bee just might.

With my hand on the remote I walked the kid right next to the front bumper and had him lean in and whisper "Bumblebee, please start your engine".

VROOOOM Remote start The kid jumped back 2 feet and then excitedly screaming "It's really him!!!"

Priceless.

I went to the pool store with my son yesterday. As I was putting him in his car seat a guy walked over and started looking at my car and saying how nice it was and how he hasnt seen the interior of the new camaro's. He said did I mind let him looking at it (the vert top was down)? I said I dont care. He said he waited for me to come out to ask because he didnt want someone to come out and catch him. He said he was to old to get into a fight.
