I've said it before....580HP is good for 11.5 at 120 Minimum in any car at that weight that can hook. Something is wrong. Even with a bad 60' like this the MPH should be higher than 111

Is there maybe a fuse pull equivalent needed for the ZL1s?

The redline tests in GMHTP had a worse 60'!
that mph is terrible, the car seems like its down a good 75rwhp over where it should be

again no offense to the OP, I am glad you came forward with your times, seems no one else is willing to!!

I don't understand why your letting air out of the stock radials. It has been proven that doing so actually provides less of a contact patch than keeping them at or near their recommended tire pressures. Still doesn't account for the slower Han expected trap speed.

That time absolutely sucks! And the 5500 comp mode shift is totally BS.
I would've let it bouce off the rev limiter and try to get it angry!
Thanks for the honesty.
How many cars lengths would the GT500 have on that time? 4-5...its not even close.....a second is a wide gap.

What are you gonna do?

Ya know they tune those LSA engines to 750.

Its a very cool looking car though. The front facia looks very aggressive and those black spyder rims are very cool....I gotta get some of the those when the repro guys start duplicating.

Sometimes the hype just doesn't equal the reality, just ask someone who bought Facebook at 42. The car is supposed to be a track monster, not a 1/4 miler. Let's see what happens when the cars go around a twisty course.

I bought FB at 35 and I'm still not happy......options will be coming out soon.....so that'll be good.

Twisty track? Centrifugal force is not kind to 4100lb cars. I like my camaro...as a D-Driver....but my vette is better for the track.....full frame, 3100lbs......but too low for a daily driver.....you need both....thats what I tell my wife.

The ZL1 looks really cool though....and that carbon inlaid hood looks very tight. Won't see that on a GT500.

It kills me how everyone expects the ZL1 to come out and run 10's stock. I have an SS and I've put about $10K into my car, no supercharger and it's running mid 12's. Mid to low 12's is very respectable. It's not like it's slow by any means. I wonder too if anyone who is bitching about these times has ever driven a 12 second car? It's GD fast! Just be happy the ZL1 is doing this stock. A few tweaks and the ZL1 is one bad mamma jamma.

My 12's are also being ran at a 5000'+ DA.

My hats off to the ZL1 for being an incredibly fast stock car..

My bone stock L99 will 60Ft @ 2.00-2.10 @ 36 psi on stock p-zeros

It would pull 1.95 @ 28 psi.Letting air out does help.

All that matters is that you enjoy your car. I think the problem with this HP war is innocent daily drivers are being pulled in the middle. Owners of the ZL1 feel obligated to compete against magazines times and stats and mustang owners feel obligated to live up to the hype it brings. I think what we forget is there are the masses of people who simply enjoy the car for its looks and its heritage. Without a clear winner though, there would be no true reason for the competition to continue to grow.

I think a ZR1 will run 10s bone stock with DRs
Published time for a CTS-V Coupe is 12.2

I would have thought GM would have wanted the Camaro, which has a sporty car legacy to land somewhere in between.

The owner concern should be ...... rapid price decay....like FB.
The CTS-V coupe, new for 2011 was MSRPd at $64K.....a year later you can pick em up for $50-52K....like a 25% drop.

No one expects 10's out the door, but I know people expected high 11's with good drivers and very low 12's on average.

Anyone here who drives a Mustang or SS can basically say they "could" drive a 12 second car. Problem is that for all the money and hype of the ZL1, who wants to get walked by a 5.0 with CAI and a tune? Or by a SS with tires and a tune. Its one thing to know you bought the ZL1 as a track superstar, but realistically let me see one ZL1 owner tell me they'd be cool with their 60K car getting walked by a 5.0 with so little as a tire mod and CAI or a tune.

Fact of the matter is that something just isn't adding up. People here obviously are passionate about the Camaro. Why would they not be upset if the uber-camaro seems to not be up to par? Did you as a GM loyalist not snicker at the Cobra power issues that Ford ended up with egg on their face over?
