Biggest problem I have with that Photoshop is there's a little too much Malibu in it. As in direct copy/paste.

It may have some Malibu/Impala-esque elements but I doubt the headlights/taillights will be that similar.

WAY TO MUCH Malibu. I don't think anyone knows what the tail lights will actually look like. I have seen renders with the Malibu taillights, and even one with Camaro tails. Personally, I am hoping for something more HSV GTS Style:

Also the render sure looks like it has the Holden SSV spoiler on it to me. The shape and angle is right.

IMO, I don't think that's the new SS. Body looks exactly like the Malibu.

It has RWD proportions, plus the rear door cut angle and DLO is different.

The only thing similar to Malibu (for now) is that they're both sedans.

I'd personally like to see more styling influence from the 2014 Impala (both front and rear, especially the rear). The way I see it, that would make more sense, since the 2014 Impala is *supposed* to represent Chevy's new styling direction.

The problem with making it look like the Impala is that they have to do whatever they can to make it distinct from the Impala. Otherwise, people will just scratch their heads at having 2 full size sedans on a Chevy lot

To me they look way too similar. Time will tell when they get better spy photos.

True enough. On the other hand, if the renderings we've seen are any indication, the same thing can be said about the SS sedan and the Malibu.

How? Just looking at the DLO they're obviously different.

The shape of the hood, trunk lid, and side windows look really similar.

Look at the rear end of that green holden, looks a lot like the Malibu's rear end.

To me they look similar.

I say to me because it's my opinion and I'm giving you my reasons.

I have no idea what the acronym DLO means?

DLO = Daylight Opening. AKA side windows.

The DLO on the SS/Commodore ends in a rounded angle, then follows the door cut swooping down. It ends in a sharp point on the Malibu. The windows really aren't all that similar if you look closely.

As for the shape of the hood...there's only so many ways you can design a hood.

And the green Holden is just a Photoshop. We have no idea what the rear really looks like.
