I guess my original point is that people don't have to be nasty just because we don't have the "hottest car on the planet" in stock for them to sit in.

Hang in there! This too will pass.
 Customer service is a tough job but someone has got to do it.  They were probably just skaters looking for a joy ride. Real customers will come to you when the cars are sitting on the floor and buy the heck out of them.  -Mark. |

"abnormal" is putting it lightly for most of us, I dont post often but this thread was interesting to me as I am also "abnormal". I like so many others ordered this car in Oct 08 sight unseen and have learned most of its features along the way. It has been exciting and frustrating the past 7 months but a true car lover knew when he ordered this Camaro that it would be nothing less than spactacular!!!!
I cant wait but I will!! lol |

Well I ordered mine in January and I am abnormal. For the first time I got to sit in one on May 6th at my dealer and then I got to drive it on May 11th. It was awesome! My dealer just called me and said I was at 3800 and gave me my vin. What a way to start the weekend!

Sadly, with all the hype and not many deliveries of this car so far, I think there will be more people turned away in the short run. On here, WE follow everything and know what's going on. But to the non-loyalists that GM is trying to bring in with this car, they really have poor communication lines set up. As I said in another post, I know of 2 people this week, not followers, that heard about the Camaro and went to local dealers to find out more. None of the dealers around here have one, and according to mine, are really in the dark about everything. So these people ended up buying other brands.
GM needs to do a better with communication lines to the non-enthusiasts, i.e. the people who need to sit in a car. Combine that with the bankruptcy "panic", and you get those parting shots from uninformed customers. |
