I agree 2003 was the worst year (end of the line). Any year without a camaro production line is a very bad year. From curb appeal, 2001 & 2002 are worst years with the bug headlights. Best year is any 5th gen year.

Worst years, 3rd gens with 4 cylinders were an all time low.

Best- 5th gen, Worst would be 3rd gens w/ 305's. Performance car with a dog engine, when 350's were plenty available. Enough said.

Definately would be a great project to take on down the road. It's easier said then done usually people's intentions are good and then they find out how much money and time it takes to complete the ride and end up leaving it unfinished and usually end up selling as is.

If i save up enough money i would love to buy one with somewhat low miles and do it again. That was my first car back in 98, and had it for seven years till i finally let it go :(
It can be very hard letting go your first car so many memories and good times you've had. Some people are lucky enough to still own their first ride and had the priviledge to restore it.

I think 1982 is the worst Camaro year. A 4-cylinder engine was available and the Z28 had the 305 with the optional Crossfire intake (garbage). It only had 165 hp. Transmissions were either a 4-speed manual or a 3-speed auto (TH350).
1975 and 1976 were pretty bad too because of the new federal emission standards, safety regs, and the lack of any perfomance model (no Z28 equivalent). Many people say these were the ugliest Camaros due to the big steel bumpers.

My favorite years in order are:
- 1970-1973
- 1967-1969
- 2010+
- 1998-2002 Z28/SS
- 1996-1997 SS
- 1978-1981 Z28
- 350 TPI powered 3rd gen (late IROC and Z28)

Buy a Mustang. You can't put anything on it to help it so no reason to even try
