Anyone i know has always done it after filling up with new fuel including myself.
Hmmmm...I did mine long after running 93 in it so it wasnt junk fuel just the computer was a dummy so when I pulled mine, it had good fuel just the computer reset. What your saying makes sense if someone just bought their car (like the OP) vs my situation.

Correct. Once you already have premium in it you would be fine. But, yes if the OP had 87 in their ride it would be slow and the only way to reset it proper would be to burn out that crap, refill with premium and do the pull. It will reset to high octane and stay unless they just kept getting crap fuel lol.

It was a leftover with 300 miles. The dealer filled it with 93 octane before delivery.. But who knows what fuel it ran 300 miles on.

If you know for sure the dealer put in 93 then try the pull. If you didn't see the dealer put it in with your own eyes. Don't believe them and do the pull after you refill with some top tier premium. Shell sells top tier fuel. 7-eleven does not.

If you don't care about a warranty, a nice tune will help with the shifting I am told.

Adam, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
