We know why they are there, and that Chevy has resolved it (which I believe means they are getting new calipers from Brembo that don't require the weights).

The question is, on which VIN will the corrected ones appear. My car is scheduled for production next week, and I'm curious which ones will be on her.

I think the real question should be, for those that have the weights, will GM replace the calipers, free of charge, for those that what them replaced?

The only comment I can make at this time is that I haven't seen one single picture that makes this car look as good as it is in person. Oh, yea, the Vin is 106861 and there are no weights on the brembos!

Are you sure you're looking at the front breaks on an SS?

Apparently all you can do is keep waiting until we get confirmation that a non-weighted fix is there and then go back to the dealer so they can rma the part..

Hopefully you have done your research but i regret to inform you that there will be no caliper replacements for people with the brake weights, that IS THE fix. quote me on it and check back in two months.

Like I said you can rma the part from your dealer which has nothing to do with GM accepting that there is a problem.. Basically your dealer would be telling GM there is something wrong with the caliper (the weights came off and it is squealing) and GM's warranty would cover a replacement.. Ofcourse a permanent non-weighted fix would have to exist and that is why I mention in my post that we all have to wait until more people receive their Camaro's and figure out if there is a caliper without the weights that doesn't squeal.

Just picked up 10630 yesterday, and it too has the weights on the breaks. They are painted black and way back there. You can barley see them.
