tune, but i don't see the point, the v6 ain't gonna go that fast and if you mod it to do so you better make sure you have some z rated tires because if you blow a tire that can't handle those speeds you are gonna be in serious trouble

and if it's just to say my car can eventually go faster then yours that's just stupid it doesn't matter how fast your car can go, it's how fast you've taken it

Wow........where do you guys drive at? The speed limit where I usually drive is 55 and I push it to 80 sometimes. But when I drove to KY in April I was sitting on 100 when I passed a cop with two other cars with me and he didn't pull out to come after any of us. Made really good time that day. I guess he may have thought of "Hey officer I was just going with the flow of traffic" and YES I have been to drivers school before......I picked the 2LT RS so maybe I can't get any or at least less tickets with it........because I know once you step on the big brother she is going to move and will get up there pretty quick.......just saying V6 is going to be plently for me.

if you get any wheels better than 18 they are Z rated tires.

Dont quote me, but I could have sworn it was common knowledge that the SS was limited at 155. I dont know about the V6 tho...

it is limited to 155, and if you have a v6 with 19,20,21 wheels you are also limited at 155

How fast do you think it could go without a limiter? That V6 is no slouch.

BTDT. I think some cops would rather respond to your fatal accident than risk their own trying to chase you down. If you're doing 100 and it takes them ten seconds (assuming they've got a fast car) to break into traffic and get up to speed, how fast will they have to go to catch up to you before the next exit? Pretty damned fast...

.
whoa i'm not knocking the 6 at all but stock i don't see it going past 160, i just don't see it going faster because of drag and you are gonna need a pretty good amount of open straights to reach that, remember at those speeds you cover a lot of ground fast

Oh yeah, past 160 might be tough with the .36 drag coefficient and quite a bit of frontal area.

I think anyway you look at it as long as you dont have the 18's the V6 will be plenty fast. I know from past experience I have only ever brought 3 of my cars above 150 on a public road. Stay safe hahaha
