It's not my thing, but that doesn't mean it isn't someone else's thing.

My question is...I've seen these huge wheels on all sorts of cars. Regarding Camaros, what kind of modifications are necessary to get those things to fit? Completely custom suspension and steering gear? I can't imagine how a 26-30" wheel has enough clearance for effective steering. Or, is that why you never see a Donk do a u-turn?

Guys -- to clarify a common misunderstanding ..

The term "donk" is used to describe a 1971-73 impala . That's it. A donk is a 71-73' impala.

Donk comes from the "donkey" like impala symbol.

Ie : a 1994-6 SS is a "bubble" , calling it a "donk" to what you guys consider "donk riders/cars" (that are not 71-73' impala's ) would result in them telling you it's not a donk.

Camaros on 50" wheels / chargers / whatever

Are "Drops".

I really don't see the difference between these drops or donks and many exotics/luxury cars that don't perform better than Camaros - they're there for show, merely catering to differing tastes.
