I think quite a few people are scared. I have only had one problem with the paint in 5 months. The inside of the door, The first day i had the car i open the door and bumped a chain link fense (very slightly) paint came off. factory touch up paint helped and it helped me learn a lesson HOWEVER my wife opened the other door (passenger) and as she got out she brushed up against the edge of the door and paint came off (the paint could be seen on her clothes. I could go with touch up against because most the edge is hiddden but it makes me wonder what the door will look like 2 years from now, especially if paint is coming off when you brush it with your leg

Dont get me wrong this is the best car I have ever had, its just that one issue that scares me

Since they are working on it, will they honor cars like my 2010 that is kept in a climate-controlled garage even after the factory warranty is up if my paint starts to bubble, chip, peel, flake, etc.?

And yes, my paint is paper thin and sucks as well.
I dropped a bolt for the spoiler I put on my 2010 Camaro. What I did was go to harbor freight and bought 4 disk magnets a little larger than the plastic plugs under the trunk lid that hide the spoiler bolts. I took the plastic plugs out and put a magnet over each hole. I drove it a couple days and then looked at each magnet and presto the bolt was caught by one of the magnets. Try it.

the bolt (actually a nut) rolling around inside the trunk lid if an old issue. A nut came off of one of the bolts that hold down the spoiler to the trunk. It is an easy fix. You can get a rod thingy with a small magnet on the end of it and fish it out. Wrap tape around the exposed sides of the magnet so it doesn't get stick to the trunk while u work it in and out, side to side. You could get lucky and get it in a few minutes. Or you can take teh trunk lid off the car and turn it upside down to get the loose nut out. This is what I did.
The rattle from under the car could be like what I had, a rusted out muffler. There is a weep hole under each muffler and one was clogged up and condensation build up and rusted the whole inside of the muffler. When the dealer replaced it, a pint of water came out.

Hopefully they take better care of you than they did of me Dude and sorry to hear. God it hurts when you see it at first doesn't it. I first noticed it in my garage and only had the car for a month.

Have you been able to get this issue addressed by your dealership? Please let me know if this is an option!

Each vehicle is handled on a case by case basis and any paint issues fall under the bumper to bumper warranty if found to be a defect in workmanship or materials. It would be best to check with your dealership on this. Please let me know!
