I have what I want and don't envy anyone else for having a "better" car than me. The only thing I would envy are those that got ABM. I had to give up that color to wait for my vert. I love MY car.

There's always jealous people. Some are jealous mass produced inexpensive cars like a camaro just like people on here are secretly envious of nice cars like a gt-r or something.

Sure. And there is a difference between thinking "that's a nice car" and "I wish that car was mine".

You can appreciate something without being envious.

Never said there wasn't. I love GT-Rs. I don't say gd I wish that car was mine that rich boy doesn't work a day in his life or something like that. I simply say one day that car will be mine. There's nothing wrong with wanting better things. Well. It's getting that way in this country. My view is if something wants better. Get off your ass and make it happen. But do it through hard work. Because unless you are working hard for what you own you deserve nothing. It kills me to see how the attitude of the younger generation is purely I deserve this. The successful are demonized and the general attitude is I do what I'm supposed to or I stay out of trouble so I should be given this by mom, dad, uncle Sam, or whoever. It is and will continue to be the downfall of this great nation until this mindset is tossed out of the window.

Edit: ps I'm 20.

Exactly, I wish my car was half as modded as a bunch of the V6's on here.

And I did become a bit of a snob when I bought my 5th gen, because it is actually better than almost everything, and it was expensive lol, I paid for the right to be a snob. Everytime I buy something expensive it just makes me realize how much better the new thing I got is, and it inadvertently makes me look down on the other things.

I bought a Gibson Les Paul - now I look down on epiphone, and almost any other guitar manufacturer.

I bought a house - I look down on apartments

I bought a Camaro - I look down on 90% of the cars I see on the road.

I don't envy for a ZL1. I got what I wanted and very pleased with it. If I win the lottery, I still would NOT be purchasing a new car. Now my truck does need to be updated a little, but not changing my SS.

That doesn't make you (or me) a snob. Pride and satisfaction in the car you own is not being a snob.

I was at MacMulkin Chevy a couple weeks ago with my wife and there was a brand new ZL1 on the floor. I told her this was the new supercharged Camaro. Her response, 'I like ours much better'. Go figure.
